Some of you know, and some we have not told. We have struggled with unexplained infertility for almost three years. It has been a very VERY long journey; we have endured endless heartache month after month. Unless you have walked this journey it may be hard to understanding what we have gone through, if you'd like some better understanding click on the link to the right titled Empty Arms.
The time came this summer when we had to say enough to the infertility treatments. It was time to move on and we knew in our hearts we were ready for the gift of adoption. We picked an agency and decided on domestic infant adoption and began the process to get approved. We had been told it could take anywhere from 4 to 6 months just to get approved. To our pleasant surprise it has been a very smooth process for us, from time of registration to being approved to adopt it only took 83 days! We were amazed and it just reaffirmed that this is definitely the right path for us to take. We wanted to wait until we were approved before we shared the news with extended family and friends.
Last week we turned in our parent profile to go in "The Waiting Family" book at the agency, it should be added in the next day or so. We are excited, nervous and scared all at once. We could get picked right away or we could wait months on end. But one day we will realize our dream of becoming parents and we wanted to share this exciting news with everyone. We will also do our own outreach to find a potential birth mom/parents (yes, Dan has already built a website for us; see link to the right Open to Adoption).
I wanted to create this blog to keep friends and family members updated on our progress, to provide a fast and easy way to check on how things are going for us. I hope to continue with this site even after our child is in our arms. I know there are a lot of people out there praying for us, we appreciate all of your prayers, our deepest thanks goes out to you.
Thank you for taking time to read about our journey, we hope you will continue to follow along.
Love,
Linda & Dan

I came across your blog by chance and just wanted to tell you that I wish you the best of luck with your adoption process. My husband and I went through almost 7 years of infertility and finally had our wonderful daughter in 2005 thanks to IVF. Having that little child in our world has filled our hearts with so much love. I wish that for you too. Good luck on your journey.
Dan and Linda, thank you so much for sharing this with me! I know God has a family planned for you :)
Keep me posted on your progress!
Some incredibly lucky child will be blessed with great parents!
Good for you!
Dear Linda and Dan,
I am so proud of you two for making the decision to be parents. You have so much love to give a child. I just know there is a special baby (or babies)just waiting for you two to be their Mother and Father. I am so excited to be a Grandma again and I pray that God will bless our family with a new member very soon. I love you both. Mom/Susanne
Linda & Dan,
You know that my prayer for the two of you is to be blessed with the child that you both so deserve. What a gift from God it will be to the two of you, as well as to the baby, to bring you both together. I wait anxiously for the special phone call from you when all I hear is the greatest joy in your voices that I have ever heard.
You know I’m going to spoil the kid/kids rotten… so get ready to be annoyed with “Uncle Ron”! Just a heads up for ya ;) Now you can’t say I didn’t warn you.
All my love and support,
Ron
Linda & Dan,
I know how hard you both have worked to get to this point in your journey to be parents. I am sure there is a wonderful child waiting to have wonderful parents like you two will become. It is my prayer for you that this desire will come true very soon. You must trust God that whatever wait you may have will be well worth it.
Love,
Dad/Don
Dan and Linda,
Congratulations!! I am very happy for both of you. I am looking forward to the next bit of good news when you can tell us the baby is on the way.
Molly
