We got the best Christmas present, we were able to finalize the adoption this year. It happened so fast. We received the letter from the court on a Monday to call to schedule and after a couple days of phone tag, on the Thursday, Dan spoke with the clerk and they had a last minute opening the next day! So on December 14th at 1:45pm CST Briar was officially forever ours! Since it happened so fast we weren't able to plan anything special for afterwards. And I also had to get ahold of my parents, they were out of town, to let them know it was scheduled. They were obviously very excited and were able to make it back for the event.
